The Band of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry

Hamilton is a city of many firsts. The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Band was first formed in 1866 with musicians from the Hamilton Artillery Battery Band, which was formed in 1855. It is the oldest enlisted military band in Canada, and has recently performed in London, England for HRH Prince Philip on Horse Guards Parade, as well as at Fortissimo on Parliament Hill.
The Band appears by kind permission of Lieutenant-Colonel Nick Arakgi, Commanding Officer. The Band is under the direction of its 14th Director of Music – Captain Ryan Baker CD and is led on parade by Drum Major Adam Malseed, CD. The Band Sgt Major is MWO Genevieve Wong, CD.
