Introducing Hastings County Concert Band from Stirling, ON who is starting Tattoo off with pre-show entertainment.
Established in 2022, the “County Band” is one of the newest community concert bands in Canada. Our mission is to provide local skilled musicians the opportunity to rehearse and perform a wide variety of music, while offering free (donations accepted) concerts of entertaining music to our community.
We are a local, not-for-profit organization that gives back to the community with the combined musical talent of our members. The band’s wide selection of repertoire includes movie music, dramatic overtures, popular vocal tunes, memorable melodies from Broadway, stirring marches, and more.
Our members come from all backgrounds, from teachers to accountants and retirees to high school students, but the one thing they have in common is their passion for music.
Our Conductor: One of the strengths of our musical organization is the focus of our Director of Music, John Monachan, who concentrates on the basic elements of music including tuning, dynamics, rhythm, balance and more. It has resulted in a dynamic concert band that performs entertaining and memorable programs while presenting a wide variety of musical styles, from Broadway to pop and classics to marches.
